Weather & Hazards
Skirmishes aren't fought in a vacuum. Periodic weather events sweep the map — meteor falls and toxic storms deal real damage, while fire and gas spread cell-to-cell across the terrain. These are the exact timings and damage values from the game files.
Fire & gas on the ground
Explosions and toxic effects leave burning or gassed terrain that ticks damage and spreads to neighbouring cells.
Fire ticks faster than gas (0.06s vs 0.25s) and hits harder — keep units moving through burning ground, never parked on it.
Weather cycle
Events arrive every 16.7 min–36.7 min. You get a radio warning roughly 30s out — time to pull vulnerable units clear.
